GHK-CU

GHK-Cu is the copper complex of the naturally occurring tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine. It is studied for its role in copper transport, extracellular-matrix remodeling, fibroblast activity, collagen-related pathways, cell migration and wound-repair signaling. Research models have also examined antioxidant and inflammatory signaling associated with the complex. GHK-Cu is suitable for in-vitro assays involving dermal cells, connective-tissue models, gene-expression profiling, copper-binding chemistry and comparative peptide stability. Because copper coordination can affect activity, researchers should control metal content, oxidation conditions, pH and storage parameters. Findings from cosmetic, cellular or animal studies should not be generalized beyond the tested model without appropriate evidence.
